Recent findings have shown that Wasabi can be a protector of the gut lining.  Dang et al. (2017) found that Wasabi is a functional food that can prevent colitis, while Park et al. (2017) found that Wasabi can ameliorate irritable bowel syndrome.  Our own work supports these findings.
